October 2007 / Massimo Bruno / Puglia / The Gambero
For those without a handy English/Italian dictionary, "gambero" means shrimp. Bari is located right on the Adriatic coast and fish literally pulled right out of the water and onto the step of this glorified fish stand/restaurant.
The fish was soo fresh and amazing. The squid ink pasta was divine. But most suprising was the amount of raw fish. It was like Italian sushi. Some very unusual mollusks, but each bite was like eating the sea.
